About
Postmark
A daily location guessing game built around New Zealand. Three modern photos and one historical photo. Place each photo, then date the historical one.
How it works
Each daily postmark has four rounds. The first three are recent photos sorted from easy to hard. The fourth is a historical photo. Study each photo, drop a pin on the New Zealand map, and you score up to 5,000 points based on how close your guess is. The historical photo also asks for the year it was taken, worth another 5,000 points. Get everything close and you can score up to 25,000.
A new postmark is published every day. Past postmarks stay in the archive so you can replay any day you missed.
Photos and rights
Postmark uses openly licensed and public-domain photographs, with credit and source links shown after each round. If you own or represent a photo and believe something is incorrect, please get in touch and we will review it promptly.
