Privacy policy

Postmark collects as little personal information as possible. This page explains what we do collect, why, and the choices you have. It reflects our obligations under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

Email address. Only if you subscribe to the daily email. We store it securely with our database provider (Supabase) and send the email through our email provider (Resend). We never sell or share your address, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link that removes you immediately.

Game results. When you finish a daily game, your score and a randomly generated player identifier are saved so the daily leaderboard works. The name shown on the leaderboard is one you choose (or a friendly placeholder). No account is required and the identifier is not linked to your email address.

On your device. Your streak, past results and preferences are stored in your own browser (localStorage). They stay on your device; clearing your browser data removes them.

Anonymous usage statistics. We use Vercel Analytics to count page visits and we keep a simple count of how often the share button is used. These are aggregate numbers and do not identify you. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to third parties.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the daily email at any time using the link in any email. If you would like your email address or a leaderboard entry deleted, or have any question about your information, contact hello@postmark.co.nz and we will sort it promptly.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way (for example, if we ever introduce advertising), we will update this page and note the change in the daily email. Last updated 10 June 2026. See also our terms of use.
